I was at a show with a buddy of mine awhile back and he brought one of his most prized cars, lots of scratchbuilding and bondo involved type of affair. Toward the end of the show a lookie-loo dropped a briefcase on it destroying the windshield, hood, and front clip. Does it ever cross your mind when your most painstaking build leaves the relative safety of your home display case that despite the myriad of DO NOT TOUCH signage posted that little fingers, briefcases, or just plain inconsiderate individuals might cross paths with your blood sweat and tears creation? Much as i love getting recognition in SA among other magazines and websites and the thrill of a win every now and then I all but retired from the show circuit after that day. I really don't know what i'd do if a year+ of my life were smashed in a second by someone not paying attention.
