First time using resin. Any tips?

In a couple weeks, I will get a Bandit Resins 1961 Ford Falcon body, to be kit-bashed with an AMT Ranchero and Mustang.  This will be my very first time working with resin, so I kind of want it to turn out well.

Does anybody have any helpful tips about working with resin?  I already know the basics such as, only use modeling super-glue and whatnot.  For example:

What kind of primer works the best?  Should I lightly sand the body with 600 grit sandpaper?  Will Tamiya spray enamel work?  etc.
